Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888):

  List of Works

Year Compiled: 1997

Scope

This document identifies, to the best of my knowledge, all of the writings of the nineteenth-century American author, Louisa May Alcott.

I have categorized this list of the complete works of Louisa May Alcott as follows:

Within each category, the works are numbered and listed in alphabetical order, by title. This page contains "titles only" for the works, but I have created (and provided links to) separate pages containing an "annotated list" for each category of works. On those separate, annotated pages, I have provided (as applicable) some additional facts pertaining to the individual works, such as:

Although I believe this list of titles to be *comprehensive*, the project is not yet *complete*. First, there are a few works which I am not yet sure how to categorize. So as not to ignore my knowledge of the existence of these titles, I have placed each in the section where I most believe it to belong, with a note indicating other possible categories for it. If you know the proper category for any of these works, please contact me. Second, my research is ongoing for more information to add to the annotated pages; hence, they may be updated periodically. Thank you for your patience and your assistance with this work in progress.  --Susan L. Tolbert, M.S.L.I.S.
